This legendary gun with a unique toggle-lock action was a success for nearly half a century. The original design of the breech reduced recoil and the handle geometry provided for a sporty grip. These factors allowed this gun to excel at shooting precision. The original model was used in two world wars as well as many smaller conflicts, and although it required some attention in maintenance and service, has gained considerable popularity in the United States and Europe.
